Two friends. One vision.
Our story
In 2018, longtime online friends Will, an industrial designer and Jason, an optician hadn't met in person untill a mutual friend's wedding. Both were VR users and both had the same problem: Wearing glasses in VR was terrible.
The scratched lenses, the frame pressure and headaches. There had to be a better solution than what was currently available. Jason had some ideas from his many years in the optical industry but hadn't fleshed them out yet.
He presented his ideas to Will, and they reached an agreement to work together on a solution. They aimed for a blend of traditional eyewear aesthetics with ergonomic features prioritizing user comfort.

Reloptix sources their lenses from the same companies that white label lenses for a lot of the big names in the optical industry, cutting out the middle-man. This ensures high quality at a lower price and allows us to offer a larger array of lens powers and coatings for a flat rate.

Timeline
2019
Initial Design and Development
R&D started in the later part of 2019 on the Quest 1 and Rift S. Many different designs with quick detach features we're posed but none match the ease of removal and versatility of magnetic attachment.
Easy removal also meant ease of retrieval which seemed to be a issue with several of the units on the market. This is where the tab we include on most of our inserts comes in, giving the user a soft, tactile portion to grab and not come in contact with the lenses.
2020
Company Founding and Kickstarter
Like most companies, the beginning of 2020 brought development to a temporary standstill. The middle of 2020 saw a major ramp up and after many prototypes we're tested, an eventual final production model was agreed upon.
Jason and Will proceeded to focus on establishing production and commencing a Kickstarter endeavor for funding. The outcome of this campaign was not as anticipated, yet they pressed on by personally financing Reloptix and upholding the support of a large portion of their contributors.
2021
Early Success
Design and production was entirely in-house, utilizing Jason's basement as a lens lab and Will's home office as a design studio. Leveraging their established presence in the online VR community, word-of-mouth sales began to occur.
VR groups and influencers started to recognize Reloptix, building a name for quality and customer service within the VR community.
2022
Company Expands
With exceptional products and diligent customer service. Expansion was certain. Reloptix advances to a fulfillment center to manage rising demand.
Upon addressing the challenges and enhancing the fresh supply chain, sales commence to escalate, setting new company benchmarks.
2023 - Present
Plans for expansion
With a global vision, Reloptix is working on offering improved shipping rates, with the UK in mind.
Additional areas are being considered to aid in fulfillment efforts in Europe.
Due to my severe prescription I needed the special experimental lenes and I was not disappointed. In addition to the two position lenses, they sent a larger additional spacer/insert to allow for a total of four positions giving the optimal chance for success with their best position. And it worked! I am having a blast with my headset now, the image hasn't been clearer and there is no crushing on the bridge of my nose from the set pressing my glasses into my face!

More than worth the cost!
Mine were a little late due to the prescription requirements. However when questioned Jason the Chief Optician and President of the company responded personally. He stated my prescription presented a special case and they were making special inserts to ensure I had the best quality experience with the lenses. When they were shipped Jason again explained what they had done and gave details on how to adjust them to get the best performance, and that they would be sending an additional free set as during the testing and adjustment process, they introduced what had to be micro scratches during said process. (I looked when I received them and I couldn't see anything!) In addition to the regular Insert/Spacer they sent an additional custom spacer allowing for an additional 2 positions to get the lenses positioned correctly for my eyes. When I found the right combination, it was a whole new ball game. My head set felt comfortable and the image was clearer than it had ever been! I will definitely contact Reloptix again when I update or change headsets in the future.
I looked at a few sources for Quest 3 lenses and ended up choosing Reloptix. I am very glad I did! The lenses and frames ere easy to install and work perfectly - no more cramming my glasses into the headset and feeling the pressure during a long session. Thanks, Reloptix!

Excellent Galaxy XR Lenses
The prescription lenses have completely transformed my Galaxy XR experience. They’re incredibly clear, provide a noticeably wider and more natural field of view, and after only a few sessions I barely notice I’m looking through prescription lenses at all.
Being able to use Galaxy XR without my regular glasses is far more comfortable and immersive, while the fixed inserts also make eye and iris tracking much more reliable. An excellent upgrade for anyone who needs prescription correction with Galaxy XR.

I am happy with the quality, easy installation and the price (fair enough). Delivery took a while but in a reasonable timeline.
I can see clearly now, it's Gona be a sun shiny day!
Took awhile for them to be made, but well worth the wait. I had quit using my VR over glasses being uncomfortable. Great product, nice case they come in, wrapped in their own left and right bags. Easy install. Great product!!!! Thank you

Glasses inside PSVR2 is a bad idea
Wearing glasses inside my VR headset basically ruined the lenses inside because they were constantly coming in contact with each other. I decided to get prescription lens inserts to address the issue and they work perfectly. My specific prescription contains prismatic correction which meant they had to be sent out to a third-party which took some extra time and expense but it was worth it.

I've been a customer of Reloptix for a few years now and their customer support is top notch! From my first set of lenses for my Quest2, through my Quest3 and now my Pimax Crystal Light. I just had an issue where my optometrist gave me a wrong prescription for my right eye and Jason sent me a new one with the corrected prescription at no charge! Can't say enough, or thank him enough, for the awesome experience of dealing with Reloptix. Awesome company to deal with!
