Having not to wear my glasses in the headset is awesome. I did a lot of research on the different lens companies out there and I opted for Reloptix. Quality lenses for my type of prescription also the lenses come in a nice case. I had a great customer service experience with Reloptix. I sent an email asking questions and it was answered the same day. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Thank you!
Frank
I bought some lenses from these guys for my Q2. They worked but I had to hold my head higher than usual to get the effect.
When I was gifted a Q3+BoboVR headstrap, my first upgrade was to buy lenses for it. Much better! I no longer had to squint in Supernatural. 😁
Now what am I going to do with the older pair?
Having the option to just protect the Index lenses even without a prescription has been such awesome piece of mind. They're easy to clean, pop right on, zero fuss. Highly recommend!!
As a Canadian the delivery took a really long time (almost a month), but that's not the fault of Reloptix (who were very quick to look into why it was slow, due to customs). Sad that by the time I got them, the kit I bought was on sale, which also felt bad.
That all said, using my Oculus 3 without glasses is a game changer. Some of the words are a little blurry to read, so I'm not sure if the prescription is 100% perfect, but when there's nothing to read, the experience is next level.
The order was easy to place, the staff (Tina) responded to all our pestering ( we really wanted the lenses :P) and the product was great, came in a nice protective cases and is well made. Wife and I both got a pair and we absolutely love them! I researched all the companies, and this one was the best value by far. If you need glasses and you spend any decent amount of time wearing your VR headset then you really want to look into these!
So, the last time I bought Index lenses because I'm blind as a bat, they made things about 50% more clear and were a real pain to get on and off the headset. Then I took a chance on these (dog ate the last pair). They're magnetic, so they literally just snap onto the bases! Brilliant! They come in their own hard carrying case (safe from dog jaws lol), and best of all, while no VR prescription is going to be a perfect match for your glasses, I'd say these make things about 80% clearer, a big improvement over my previous pair from a different manufacturer. They're so cool my significant other is thinking about upgrading his.
I’ve tried 2 other brands of VR lenses for my past VR systems and this is by far the best one of the 3. They are so easy to install and easy to remove for others or to clean. I don’t even know they are there when using the VR. I have the Quest 3 and I’m using a 3rd party shroud that doesn’t adjust and they are so low-profile, my eyelashes still don’t hit them. Couldn’t be happier with the quality and the price is even better than many other brands. Save your time researching and just get these. You won’t be disappointed!
Reloptix has made lenses for several of my VR headsets. So I wanted to add a shirt to the collection. It is made of the material I like my shirts made of because Florida can get hot a humid. The fit was great and comfortable.
Super pleased with the lenses. VR is so much clearer and more comfortable without my glasses in the way. Snapped on easy. Shipped fast. Highly recommend.
They arrived quick
Easy to install
Feel durable
And most importantly everything looks beautiful. Changes the confort since you can take your glasses off. Highly recommend
Expert help try to match my eye contition of a slight vertical double that is worse in VR (white on black background). Work in progress to debug.
Faint ghost image also seen in glasses with same RX.
1. Astigmatism (uncorrected or undercorrected) — common with vertical ghosting. But see in each eye but left is 50% great shift down.
2. Corneal irregularity — from dryness, scarring, or subtle warping (even mild keratoconus).
3. Early lens changes — like very early cataracts or lens asymmetry.
Image approx in Quest3. Adjusting on eye center to Quest3 blow center of field of view helps.
Let's face it! Glasses users and VR do not mix. Guess the world of the future only belongs to those with good vision.... Sure I used contacts, but the constant drying out of my eyes made my experience less than enjoyable. That eternal grain of sand feeling when your contacts start to dry out. So I took the chance and ordered these custom VR lenses and man! Is this how it feels to have good vision? Just put on a headset and just play!? Now even I can enjoy the future.
the wait for the lenses to be made was definitely worth it, i can finally see in vr now. when i get the quest 3 i will definitely be buying lenses here again thank you guys so much.
Chat GPT recommended these lenses and i said lets give it a try, it took almost 7 days to arrive to Saudi Arabia, good packaging and materials, and when i tried it on my Meta Quest 3 it was absolutely good! I recommend it !
The lenses are fantastic and made my VR experience so much more enjoyable. I have high Rx, and the aspheric lenses have very high optical clarity, and I like them more than my regular glasses haha. They are super thin and have edge to edge clarity. As a matter of fact, these lenses have made me a better competitive VR gamer and now I can have longer VR sessions without getting uncomfortable. Thank you!
Excellent lenses, they stay secured properly, attach easily. I can finally use my strange prescription without wearing my glasses
I was struggling with wearing my glasses under my headset. Not only did this alleviate the pressure the glasses put on my face but the picture is clear and easy to read all my gages in my cockpit. The owner contacted me personally ands answered my questions. I had them in weeks and they were half the price of the German and Japanese options. Made in America
They fit easy - the prescription was spot on - easy to pull out to allow another user - very pleased
I've been an enjoyer of video games since the late 1970's (arcade, PC and console)....but only recently tried VR for the first time when purchasing a Meta Quest 3....and was blown away....
One of the downsides, however, was the discomfort and added light bleed when using my eyeglasses. I also have contacts, but rarely wear them anymore, and found it a hassle to put them on any time I wanted to use the VR headset..and also found my eyes would dry out when using them.
I happened to hear about numerous companies making prescription lens inserts and started checking them out....One of the companies that kept popping up as good quality for the price, and good customer service was Reloptix....so I decided to give them a try.
Uploaded my prescription and purchased one of their kits. (Would like to add...when investigating other companies, their price would often start lower than Reloptix, but increase with every little option until you were paying, in some cases, quite a bit more than the comparable Reloptix...who's listed price actually WAS the price you paid, regardless of prescription or options.)
Took a few weeks to receive (this was clearly stated at the time of order), and I did receive a couple of emails with updates.
Received tracking information when they shipped, and received them on time and in good condition.
They come in a very nice hardshell plastic case (overkill maybe, but still, impressive to see).
I watched a clear and concise installation video they had put on their website....everything went nice and easy during the install (You do need to remove the "facial interface", if that makes you nervous...but it shouldn't...it pops right out).
And using them for the first time...I, at first, thought the prescription might have been off a little bit, as some things didn't seem as clear as I'd have liked....but, I think that might have just been me needing to adjust to them.
Now, after a few days, they seem fine....and again, the comfort level of the headset, because of the inserts, has increased dramatically...and I have less light bleed than before (an unexpected and very welcome benefit), which has led to more enjoyment and a more immersive feeling, when using the headset.
If you wear glasses, I would definitely recommend getting prescription lens inserts ....and based on my experience, so far, with Reloptix, I would absolutely put them on your short list for vendors to investigate, and purchase from.
This is my third set. Two prescriptions for my Oculus 2 and the third for my recently purchased Ocuslus 3. Each one perfect! I can see better in VR than I can IRL with my glasses.
